I made a bunch of little bags. Well they aren't quite finished but to far to fix my problem. The should have closures like this but I forgot to add the tail and loop. So how would you close a little bag like this if you forgot the tail and loop? I had thought of elastic and a button but I don't really want a button as I want stitch something on the bag.

I would just do a hidden snap closure.

OhMyGoodness, I have another closure question. I had the bright idea of using extra-long pipe cleaners as the base for felting bracelets. I thought that, being bendable, they could be adjusted as needed. But now I'm stumped on how to make the ends tidy. I thought about having loops that the ends tuck under, but that didn't look good and the felt didn't pull through them easily. Should I just forget about the 'adjustable' idea and sew them down> Thanks for the help! This is what it looks like from the top. Here are the ends - looking messy. Here it is alone.

Could you just trim up the ends with scissors and maybe wet and felt the ends again or will the pipe cleaner poke out? I think the ends look OK loose personally.

Ann and Elizabeth I think Ruth’s ideas are good. I usually always use snaps.

Ruth, in some cases the pipe cleaner will poke out, so there's that. The feedback I got from some friends was that they didn't care for the look in the second photo. I think I'll just forget the adjustable thought and do something permanent with the ends. Photos later

I thing I would needle felt the long pointy part over the end then wet and felt them again. I didn't mind the ends sticking out but they may catch on things and be frustrating. I will look for a snap to use. I think it will have to be a sturdy one as they are strong little bags.

Photos later Elizabeth, not sure how you like this idea but I have seen pictures of felted bracelets where pretty cone shaped metal things [sorry, don't know what they are called] enclose the ends of the bracelet. I think if you did a google search for felted bracelets you might be able to see what I am talking about. I love the purple and green one you made.

Thanks, Pamster. I think those are called cone ends. The bracelets I did last year were too thick for them. The ones this year are thinner and I found some that work OK. I'll try to post soon, but this is a big weekend. I'm having a 60th birthday party for myself - I'm taking 10 friends and my sis on a wine tour. Yay! I just picked sis up from the airport so I'm excited!
