Aww...thanks for that!
Think of your display like a terraced garden. There are things to see on one level, then your eyes are drawn to the next level and on and on. This for me personally, would be much more interesting than a totally flat garden, each to their own though!
The table looks fairly small, so how about covering a sturdy shoe box (if you cannot source a wooden one) with a cloth to give you height? Your mug tree with your pebble key rings would stand out better at height. You can get a single bed sheet in allsorts of colours from supermarkets. Having said that, looking at your display, I think the off-white colour may be the correct colour for you. My stall is every colour, whereas your colours are more neutral.
Still a great job! it looks bright and clean.

I often wrestle with the issue of making pictures behind glass versus wanting to enjoy feeling the lovely woolly textures. Thinking of investigating more sculptural forms like seed pods and shells that combine natural colours with the joy of getting properly up close with the textures (and smells - is that weird?) of the wool.

My natural inclination is to leave it alone once it’s in place but on this occasion I decided to take your advice & go for the raised platform idea. I’m a box-owning kind of woman so I taped a bit of fabric round a long wooden box and stood some of the vases and the key rings on top. Much improved display so thank you. www.ipernity.com/doc/2373440/46445800www.ipernity.com/doc/2373440/46445802

The pebble key chains are great. I wonder if you could use some black and some cream in combination to set everything off. I often use one of the transport boxes covered to get some height. It all looks very inviting. The pops of red, I think really help the overall display. Are you cards photographs or felt? You could bet some little easels at the dollar store to help display them so people can see them better as they approach. I am sure you will do well.

Yay to you too! well done ! I'll tell you what I see, you have created a pyramid that draws the eye to the top of the pebble tree, and balancing the bolder colours of the outer vases adds so much. Nice one Lindsay!!

I really should read all the comments before posting. I missed the last batch of pictures. That looks great. I changed my mind about black but maybe a nice mid to dark grey would work. For mine I use black but sometimes I have black or dark things so I have some white and cream colours small pieces I can put down on top to show those things off. Glass or no glass is a heard decision.

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions. I like your idea Shepherdess re a mid grey and will think about that for another event. Because this is a gallery (rather than a craft show, for example) I think the off-white is right as it’s in keeping with the overall look. There are 17 artists / makers displaying together and getting some unity is an advantage on this occasion I think. I’ll see if I can share the link to the show so you can see what I mean. The cards you can see are photographs of my felted bird pictures (as are my business cards). They sell well as lots of people like them but many aren’t in the market for a large expensive picture. Also regular mass-produced printed cards are SO expensive. I do have some felted cards - they are on a group card rack elsewhere in the room. I tried the cards on the table standing in a nice transparent box but it blocked the view of other things which is why I went flat but I agree card stands might work really well on other occasions. Really appreciate everyone's help with this. I’m hanging the rest of my felted pictures (plus maybe some photo canvases) in a hair salon in London on Monday - quite a lot of challenges there like how to fit thing in around all the mirrors so I may be back for more thoughts next week!
