Fabulous Lindsay! I like the delicate touch of pink on the clam shell.

Nice Lindsay! Those all turned out great. What did you use to make the dark lines? Thank you, Ruth. Just some fine wool tapestry yarn I bought in a charity shop I think. Looks a bit like arteries in one of them that I’m not sure about!

Keeping with shell theme: I've made this shell for the exhibition of York textile artists group ( York textile artists), I became a member of. I used a flat resist and the shell is made of extra fine 16 mic merino and a Kap-merino, which create very smooth yet firm surface. The size of a piece is 22x12 cm (9"x5")

Very nice shell and the fish are a nice touch. Are they some of the prefelt shapes I have seen places? Or did you make them yourself?

The wave on the edge of the shell is delicately perfect. The extra fine merino certainly has given the shell a lovely smooth finish and the markings in the shape of fish are a clever touch. Beautiful.

Ann, the fish is needle felted on the surface of a finished piece.

That's a surprise! I thought they were particularly good pre-felt shapes - the needle felting is superb!

Thank you Lyn! I think on this picture the needle felting is more obvious (and less perfect )
