I have another batch of snow dyeing going today. I used acid dyes instead of fiber reactive dyes. I will have to steam the scarves once the snow melts. It will be interesting to see if there is a different look with the acid dyes. Waiting for snow to melt...

Thanks Lyn, thanks Ruth, good points to mull over. Lyn I think the presser foot is in the up position whilst threading. Yes at one point the thread had jumped out of the correct threading positions so I rectified that. It is a bit of a jigsaw that needs the pieces in the correct place to work correctly, plough on.

Lovely book cover and little bags. The buttons are great. I have had that little hard to see thread stuck and it does create a lot of trouble. And the rethreading even when it's right seems to help. Like restarting your computer when it looses its mind. Nice scarves Ruth . will you sell them like that or do some felting with them?

Ann, I will sell them dyed. No felting. They're 8 mm and I'm usually not patient enough to nuno felt with that thickness. I prefer 5mm. The acid dyes worked very much like the fiber reactive dye with the snow. Extra step to steam them but since I had left my fiber reactive dyes at my friend's house, acid dye it was.

I am in Washington taking my art and design class. I love to take 5 days to immerse myself in all things art. Makes my brain tired but feeds the soul.

My daily dose was seeing how sick and spacious my clothes airer that I tie my wools on was looking. I am trying to be very inventive making notebook colours using the colours I have left, infilling with not so nice/not often used colours. I think I am trying to put off the inevitable large order, which, whilst is very exciting to receive, it is also expensive, especially with another WOW price increase.
However I am trying to feed craft fair stock so just have to grit my teeth I guess!

Go for it Tracey! At least you are selling to offset some of the expenses. Think if it as a write off. ;-)

Rest assured Marilyn, I really love doing the fairs, I am addicted right now! So yes I need the tools to do this. First fair of the year in one weeks time!

Exciting! In the meantime, do your order - you can't make felt with fresh air!

At the request of the organiser, yesterday I went to meet and greet the group of people who make up the craft fair that I am attending next Saturday for the first time. I had visited this fair before so I had an idea it was fine. Nice group selling nice crafts, looking forward to joining them next weekend. I have been checking out fairs with the view of would I be happy to stand here for the day and I have dismissed a couple already. I only started selling at fairs properly twice in November last year so I am still finding my feet. Galina quite rightly said I will probably settle with just a chosen few, but I have to experience them to know. I have a blog coming up on 20th March on the Studio site regarding craft fair selling - just a quick plug there!
