Thank you Carole, it looks like King Winter is playing his games worldwide. I live in the Netherlands and it has not been that cold for over 30 years. Fortunately no snow but low temperatures together with the icecold stormwind makes us stay inside too. Yesterday the livingroom temperature set on 19 degrees could not go higher than 14 so I was glad to have enough knitted poncho's and shawls around. But I like to stay inside, in my feltingroom the temperature is more comfortable and I made a new warm coat from an old blanket. It is now ready to take out of the dyepot, soooo curious if the dyemix worked out the way I hoped for. Have a nice warm day!

I rarely see snow but hey, start of spring and here it is! The road I live in is like an ice rink so I'm staying indoors. I'm hoping that the anticipated rise in temperature to above zero on Saturday will start the thaw then the forecasted thunder storms will wash it all away.

I have just ventured out after two days of getting a bit stir-crazy even with my crafting, even I can only do so much....Snow drifts on the roads off the fields followed by the wind whipping up the soil, so it looks like a very brown Sahara! Happy Spring UK-ers. Please put some seed out for the birds. We will soon be moaning we are too hot...

Yes we will, and there'll probably be a hose-pipe ban by mid April!

The weather is crazy everywhere. Unseasonably cold in California and unseasonably hot in Florida where my sons live. In Chicago there was a lot of snow and cold(we were home for that) then 60 weather and 30” of rain causing flooding. Fortunately, we were enjoying the hot weather in Florida when that happened. Home now and it’s cold. Who knows what’s next.
Stay warm and safe everyone.

Tons of snow here but the skiing is wonderful. The mountain has had 330" of snow this season and still going strong. Our house is surrounded by big piles of snow and it snowed more yesterday.

It's raining. Yippee! The snow is disappearing fast so by tomorrow we'll be back to normal.
It's been 5 years since our last lot of laying-snow here, so for many children it's the first time they've played in the snow.
330" of snow Ruth? I must be a wimp - the few inches that fell here were too much for me.

Here's a photo off our front porch this morning. That big pile of snow is taller than I am so about 6 feet tall. The 330" is total snowfall on the ski mountain, we haven't had as much in town but it's been a lot this year.

I always love seeing the sun shine on the snow. We don't get a lot of sun in the winter time so you have to enjoy it when you can. I feel like I could wear my shorts today It's 36 degrees F today. Above freezing!

See Ruth there is the difference - you are just above freezing and you feel like putting your shorts on. Zero degrees in Britain for a few days and on the whole it is six layers of clothing, whack the heating up and get soup on the go, the country grinds to a halt and it is the lead story on the national news.....

Well we went skiing one day about a month ago and it was -40 degrees on the mountain. The skiing wasn't bad but riding the lift was brutal.
