Hi all. I've decided to stop being shy and introduce myself. I joined well over a year ago, but have only recently posted for the first time. I started felting 4 or 5 years ago. I started when someone at work told me about needle felting. It seemed like magic and I did that for a bit but somehow changed over to mostly wet felting. I went crazy making bowls after finding Rosiepink's pod tutorial (I know that Lyn is a member of this forum. Thank you Lyn for your wonderful tutorial and ebook!) I joined the Auckland Fun Felters, part of Creative Fibre NZ, which is a big umbrella group for all sorts of wool and fibre craft groups. I've learned a lot at Fun Felters meetings as well as from both online and real-life workshops. 2 years ago I attended the Southern Hemisphere Felters Convergence in Auckland. It was such a great learning experience. I'm looking forward to the next one in NZ in 2 years time. Recently I've been making quite a few felt bangles.

I have been a rather absent member for a while. Just checked in and saw this post. Are you still felting Robin? the Fun Felters in Auckland look like a great group. We have a group here in Christchurch called the Southern Felters that do the same sort of thing. Would be good to link up the groups.

I haven't been here in ages but the email about this year's holiday card exchange brought me back.
Hi Jane! I think I've seen you posting on Facebook -- in the new NZ Felters group or maybe on Creative Fibre Connenctions?
I'm still felting and now I've also started knitting, which I find funny because I always swore I was never going to knit. :-)
