Nuno felting is addicting! After one 3 hour class in July, I have made 12 scarves, everyone is be receiving one for Christmas. My confidence is building but I am not quite ready to attempt new projects. I have been using rolled edged plain white silk chiffon scarves, I do not like seeing the rolled edge, so I have been cutting of the edge allowing a more natural, organic edge. I also have been felting both sides of my scarves, makes the scarves a little heavy, but I have not been happy with the appearance of scarves that are only felted on one side. I am looking forward to hearing from each member.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I am sure everyone will love their handmade scarves from you at Christmas.
I am not a nuno felter, but there are plenty on this forum who I'm sure will chip in. Glad you are enjoying your new hobby.

Welcome! I haven’t made Nuno scarves for a while, But you can make a nice lightweight scarf with ruching on both sides by using just a little fiber on both sides in different areas. Have fun. Please post some pics. I’m sure your family will love their handmade gifts.

Hi, Welcome to the forum Marilyn's advice is good, you can get lots of different effects that way. Or just make a wool scarf, they don't have to have fabric in them
