I checked my finished book cover today and it was to short so I steamed it and gave it a big stretch. I think it's long enough now, I will give it an iron and maybe squeak it a bit bigger yet. The other thing I did was tread beads onto mohair curls for some spinning

Ann how do you tread beads onto Curls?

I think that's a typo, maybe 'thread'? I'm the same as Ann, Tracey, my felt is too thick to do an inside seam, but haven't tried it with the fabric for the sleeves like Ruth. I don't like the look of machine stitching the top edge on the outside, unless I'm using collaged felt which has all been machine stitched. Some people leave the natural edges, even if they don't match up, and just do a straight line of stitching across. Some look alright with natural edges, depending on the design, but others look lazy.

Well I really must knuckle down and have a go at the book cover next, especially as I bought two books to have a go. I must say, trawling the usual shops, WH Smith, Range etc, I was underwhelmed with the note book choice.

Not sure what happened to my post from yesterday explaining the beads Marilyn. There is a floss threader for people with braces that I used.

Ooh, I like that, Tracey! It's like a cold sea-side!
I get my notebooks and diaries from Poundland. They are standard size. If people want a fancy £8-£15 notebook or diary, they can buy it themselves!
It starts getting expensive when you have quite a few left over diaries each year!

Thanks Zed! You have trumped me with the Poundland books. The first one I bought was £3 from Tesco, went back to get another and they were down to £2.75. every little helps......
I wouldn't have the bottle to buy a diary for that very reason, in case it did not sell! I could imagine me saying 'But you have to buy it, it will be obsolete soon!!'

My daily dose this week has been making scarves. I have 7 new ones and 2 more in progress. I have a show in a week and a half and I am trying to have some new things to show.
