Stargazer, I agree that you should just keep going and not worry too much about the perspective. Looks great!
Carole - looks like you all had fun!

Stargazer, it's gorgeous. I don't see its off in any way. Right now it's mesmerizing. Remember not all faces are perfect and some uniqueness makes it stand out.

Thank you, Pandagirl, that's a really good point to keep in mind. I'll remember that.

Stargazer I don't think it matters that the perspective is off for fauvist work. have a look at some of the pictures on google image. They often mix the perspectives.
Carol I saw your picture on facebook. What a great way to celebrate Women's day.

Thank you. I am too good at that - worrying. But seriously, the perspective is off and I just needed some advice on if I should accept it as is or change it before I continue.Always aiming to improve My advice is to make the changes and recognize that making adjustments is all part of improving as an artist. If it doesn't look right to you now, then it's never going to look right to you no matter how beautiful the piece may look to someone else. *and I do think it's turning out to be a spectacular piece!

For anyone who wants to listen to the Woman's Hour slot (you don't have to listen to the whole programme - you can move the slider to the interesting bit 'craftivism'): WOMAN'S HOURVery interesting and explains the background to the facebook photo.

Stargazer - your piece is very striking - she reminds me of Nefertiti

Thanks for the link Lyn. the slider worked for me so I didn't listen to the budget. My dose yesterday was doing a demo at our local farm show. I was spinning on a drop spindle. Friends from my guild were needle felting, spinning on a wheel and weaving. When I got home through a snow storm my wool order was here.

Oh gosh, what a complment magzie, thank you! My daily dose of fiber today has been to continue on the piece after a few days away. Sometimesyou just need tto put it away for a while and come back to it.
Shepherdess, sounds like great fun!

My daily dose was doing the consult for a lady coming to do a seamless dress and reading the instructions for The machine embroidery on felt class Ruth is teaching and watching the first 2 videos.

My daily dose was going through the PDF and videos for Ruth's class and setting up the machine to get started practicing. Now let's see how long I procrastinate. :-)
