Hi, I am a from a small farming community in South Africa, called Kruisrivier. My partner, Roger and I are not farmers, just loving living amongst wonderful, down-to-earth people. I am a Costumier and make customised garments, including 3Dc character mascots.I have been so fortunate to work with amazing designers and on many great projects with Handspring Puppet Company. Roger makes hand-carved furniture and is also a photographer- the results are shown in our Gallery in Kruisrivier.About a year ago I developed a fascination for felting- hats in particular and am trying to learn as much as possible, [when not making commissioned garments] so this Forum is valued immensely- thanks you. I was fortunate to participate in Terri's concertina hat workshop about 2 months ago- learning so much from her and having such fun in the process.

Sorry to take so long torespond- Ihave beenbusy beading a wedding dress with Rhinestones[350 hours], so not seeing anything but bling. Anyone interested can look at my website www.phylliscostumes.co.za to some of the costumes and garments I have created, unfortunatley it hasn't been updated in awhile- and I don't show anything where I have been part of a team, as it isn't 'my'work. Wishing you all a wonderfl creative 2017
