Nada's card arrived yesterday...what a delight! The gold mesh on the oversized tree gives a lovely glow. Chicago's low light does not do it justice! flic.kr/p/Q86ZPx

Lovely card - I like the shape of the tree, it looks like it's doing a curtsy!

I like the material you used, Nada. Is it a sparkly burlap of some kind?

Cathy, I'm glad you received the card (still waiting for yours - I'm sure it will be here soon). Tricaf, Yes, it's a golden mesh or burlap (don't know how to call it) it is used for wrapping gifts. The material is rather soft and felts in very easily.

Great tree. the mesh is interesting I have never seen soft stuff. Everything I've see has been quite stiff. I got my cards from Tricia. I will try to get a decent picture of them tomorrow. They are very nice.

Nada, I really hope you have my card early next week! There's no rhyme or reason with postal service. Recently I received something from Sweden and it took THREE weeks to get here!

Here is the lovely card Ann sent me. The outside is an ornament stitched with some shiny threads on the black background and couched yarns as decorations with a message inside and some silk hankies. Bling! I love it. It's shiny enough to hang on the tree. Thanks Ann! flic.kr/p/QkY4LnInside flic.kr/p/P7oPgv

Thanks, I am glad you like it. You will have to show us what you do with the silk hankie. I really enjoy the hand sewing work.

Super cards, Nada & Ann. Mine arrived from Frances yesterday & is fab, it has 3 parts to show, it literally is a felt card, the whole thing, & very pretty. I will try to get photos later today to show you all.
