Marilyn, you posted pictures of the wall hanging you made (hanging in your kitchen) on a blog dated 22 July 2016 and you call it "Paintbrush". The class was presented by Ruth.
feltingandfiberstudio.com/page/4/
What I would like to know is how did you achieve those beautiful large "bubbles" on the silk fabric side?
Is there a tutorial that I can download (am prepared to pay for it Ruth!) to see how this is achieved?
From what I can make out and please correct me if I am wrong : There are three layers ... the bottom layer is all roving; second layer is the silk or chiffon fabric; and the third layer is more roving. But on this top (third) layer the roving is only placed selectively and areas are left open for the fabric to "pucker" and "bubble".
Am I on the right track so far?
Regards Linn

Linn - that is just the way she lays the fiber and the silk. That is what nuno felting does, the wool shrinks and the silk gives the ruching effect which is the rippling and bubbling effect. Different silk gives different results.

Thanks Ruth.
I quickly read through some more posts on the forum. Seems that silk produces much more rippling/bubbles than other fabrics and that thickness of wool laid down plays a big role too.
Learning as much as possible before the goodies come! <LOL>
