Hard to believe it is August already. My daily dose today was finishing a hat and getting most of the way through a nuno felt scarf. the hat still needs rinsing and drying and the scarf needs fulling.

Another scarf half done. At least I think its a different one, its been sitting 2 days so far waiting for me to get back to it. I lose track of time in the summer.

Ann - I've found August now thanks. I've not done much fibery stuff recently; school holidays and grandchildren don't leave much time for grandma to play with her own toys.

I feel your pain, Judith. I have my nice new studio and now it's inaccessible. We (I) decided to follow up the construction with having the inside of the house re-painted. The construction necessitated some of the re-painting. aargh! It's worse than moving!! We have to lug furniture from one room to another, pack up breakables and books (and books and books!) I can guarantee you the house will not be painted again until we move out - toes up! At least the part where we sleep on a futon in the dining room is past. This week should end it. The house has never been cleaner, but my poor kitty-girls are traumatized.

Elizabeth, I know the feeling. I hope all will be back to normal soon.

Poor Elizabeth, know the feeling.I am about to have a sliding door cut into the dining room onto the deck and it will make an awful mess plus make the kitchen dining inaccessible while electrics are done too, then painting will need to be done GAH.

Nice prints Cathy!
Elizabeth - we had our house re-painted several years ago so I know what you mean. The dogs were traumatized too.
Sue - best of luck on your renovation. Sounds like it will be nice when it's finished.

Thanks all for the nice comments! I really am having fun with this eco-printing. And yes, Sue, you can print on cellulose (I’ve printed on cotton, hemp, linen and rayon). I teach private and semi-private classes in my home, and there was a lady yesterday who had done lovely work on silk and wool but never had tried cellulose. She was amazed! So stop on by if you ever are in Chicago.
Elizabeth, my son lives in Houston--so yes, ugly hot weather. You all have my sympathy, but as Marilyn said, it’s not a whole lot better here. 95 degrees today.
