Daisy pounced on this yarn when she saw it a couple of weeks ago and today I felt like doing some weaving so thought I'd make her a scarf. CIMG7454 by Judith Robinson, on Flickr finished in an afternoon. I ran out of weft, so had to improvise with a bit of clasped weft in solid colours. I'd like to blame the yarn calculator, but it was more likely due to my number crunching. CIMG7456 by Judith Robinson, on Flickr

It's beautiful Judith! One reason I never took up weaving was all the figuring out how much yarn you need, the weft and warp and all that other confusing stuff

Lucky Daisy! I like the way it's finished with the solid colour after you ran out of weft - it looks very 'designer'!

Thank you ladies. I often find that being a bit short of materials forces the creative juices in a positive way. I suppose that little piece at the end could be described as "Saori", proving the point on another thread.

It's beautiful, and that Saori inspiration is great :-)

Freestyle or Saori or make-do and be creative--it’s terrific!
