I felt some wind lights or lanterns as gift . How can I get the felt steadier on the glass? Because when it's dry it give some space between the felt and glass. I have also put it in the microwave, but it is still a bit loose from the glass. felicityWhen I felt more, it shrinks too much, maybe it's the bol shape of the glass? ShepherdessI had to rezice the picture, was fergotten how to fix that until now..

May be I do not understand your problem but if the felted piece is too loose to the glass frame you could felt it more then stretch the felt on the glass when it's still wet and stretch easily and let it dry as one piece. It should sit tight after drying.

A picture of what you are making might help us understand what you are doing better.

If you do not want/can't make it firmer you could starch it or soak in PVA and dry afterwards.

Yes, I was thinking to starch it. But soak it in PVA? Polyvinyl alcohol??

It's kind of glue - Poly(vinyl acetate) (PVA, PVAc, poly(ethenyl ethanoate): commonly referred to as wood glue, white glue, carpenter's glue, school glue, Elmer's glue in the US, or PVA glue)

Nice lamps. Sounds like Galina has answered all your questions. Best of luck getting them the way you want them.

Sounds very exciting! Especially the stay in Portugal for winter. I just returned from Crete to this dismal English summer...
