Great handle Ann, and yes, it calls for a tea cozy.

Love the teapot and it's handle, that's just such a good idea as metal gets hot. My contribution to July daily dose is a trip today to an Alpaca farm - this could be expensive, and I have just finished knitting a baby jumper in cashmere and merino, a couple of minor errors but they add character :-)

The jumper is great Carol, I imagine the area where the hood attaches and overlaps was tricky to do? Enjoy the alpacas.... Perhaps leave the cards at home and just take a limited amount of cash...?

The sweater is for my next grandson due to join us in September, so as you can imagine happiness radar is high. I spent £6.90 on rovings, I was so controlled, what a great set up they actually wash, card and spin for individuals all mechanical, a really interesting day.

Yesterdays dyeing. Commercial dyes this time. The colours in the painted yarn turned out much stronger than were meant, but my grandaughter pounced on it saying she loves it, so it will have a home. The autumn shades of the dyed Shetland fleece are more me and I'm intending to use this with some Black Shetland and Moorit. Can't wait for that drum carder to arrive. Ha ha ha I would have jumped on it too, are you dying before spinning or after? if before how are you getting that lovely colour gradient?

The purple skein is 'painted' on to the spun skein. I used Lanaset dyes. Something like this:- www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFV0gW0D_Zg but I steamed mine as my designated microwave died. Punny??? I've just dyed another this morning in the exhaust bath which was a pale violet. I used a low immersion method and dripped some grey and some pink dye in places, then gently simmered it until the dye bath was clear. CIMG7445 by Judith Robinson, on Flickr

Judith, your yarn colors are terrific! Aren’t you having fun with your new toys! Carole, lovely sweater for new baby.
Wow, what a talented group of artists here--we felt, we spin, knit, weave and dye. And stitch. Have I missed anything?
