Sue - I agree with Ann about the hat price of $100+.

"Now the brooch--what about making it optional? Two prices, with or without?" Good idea Cathy- I will do that.
Yes a rotary clothes line spins in the wind. Here in Australia we call them Hills Hoists as the original maker was Hills back in the 1940s...they are an icon in Australian backyards. The ones that fold are a later invention- the earlier ones were large and strong so we kids could whizz around on them.My neighbour has one on a lean since his kids swung on it.LOL

Trying to catch up here, Judith those fleeces look delicious enough to drink, they are frothy and dark and tinged with cinnamon - love them
Great hat too I always stand in awe of anyone who can make a hat.

Rotary line, hate the thing! They do spin in the wind. My mum had a Hills Hoist in the '50s which was really good and yes Sue we used it to swing on it like monkeys.

Daily for today is a few felted soaps for the stall. I am spending this afternoon on the sewing machine finishing off two fox bonnets and my cape neckline. In all it will be a productive day. Last night I finished off the trim on a hat and knitted a trim for another pink bonnet...getting there. View AttachmentView AttachmentThis orange hat is drying,Needs an edge trim yet. I was just trying out decoration - what do you think? The brooch is antique and is my daughter's choice. But then how do I price it? Nice work Sue. At Woolfest today, hats very similar to your blue one were priced @ £45. Which at today's rate is $61.50

Teri, where do you get all these ideas? How original - a true viking hat - bet you could sell it well in Norway. Here are some of my finished projects from the past week: two pairs of felted slippers: www.ipernity.com/doc/724735/42289362 and www.ipernity.com/doc/724735/42289340 Nothing special, just a variety on the same theme. These slippers with elevated heel sell best here. And since I was doing some dyeing and experimenting with madder root a while ago, I decided to use all the silks, woll and ebmellishments dyed with madder and used some silk of darker colour (I can't even remember what dye it was) and made a blouse for myself. It is pretty thin and what is more important, it fits well. I should be able to wear it on a cold summer day. www.ipernity.com/doc/724735/42288626
