Following the workshop with Oksana Sokolova, I wanted to reinforce my knowledge and make a variation of her technique on different fabric: I made a blouse for myself, using very little fine turquoise merino wool and white cotton gauze. This is what I got. Very pleased with the results. I will certainly wear it in summer. www.ipernity.com/doc/724735/42128118 www.ipernity.com/doc/724735/42128124You are such an inspiration - I keep working to get to your level of expertise. Love the blouse.

Wow so much fabulous work happening here, Nada your top is beautiful, I particularly love those colours. The skeins are gorgeous Judith, I can't wait to have a go on a spinning wheel. In the meantime, I have been hand spinning on a spindle and decided yesterday to have a go at weaving my art yarn,my first handspun and woven piece of fabric, now it isn't washed or steamed but I was so excited I just had to share it.

Carole - Wow! super dooper weaving I'm being led into greater and greater temptation - I'm planning to go to Woolfest later this month and may not be able to leave without a loom. Shhh, I haven't told my better half yet. Teri - it's the silk and black bamboo which draws the 'fibre eye' to the rolags. Here it is, skeined and set. flic.kr/p/HNJ4So

Wow, Nada. That's beautiful! I you ever hear her teaching this technique in the US, let us know. That technique looks like it might be light enough for us here in hot Texas.
Love the yarns Judith! And the weaving Carol. I could be sucked into weaving.. spinning - not so much.

That's an idea, Nada. Maybe I can schedule a visit to Kiev. The language of felt-making should be universal, right? ;-)

I'll be at woolfest too going down with the Edinburgh guild on Saturday I saving like a crazy woman ? Oh, what a pity we won't be there on the same day. It would have been nice to meet up face to face. I will try to leave a few things for the Saturday folks. Have a good time - goes without saying I suppose.
