Sue the hat is great. It's great that you are learning with each piece you make. That's always the important thing to me that I learn something new with each project.
Marilyn is talking about our little "Felting and Fiber School" where we have different online courses. You can see more about it here. feltingandfiberstudio.com/classes/
Zed - I love how the weaving + felting came out. Sounds like your little loom is fun.

Love the hat Sue
The weaving looks good, I have been weaving tops, next week 3 classes of primary ones are going to help me to finish it!!! They can only improve it :-)
Me too Zed,I brought 450 grams of pencil roving from Lincraft 50% off sale. I tested it to see if I can lay it out and it does work, but may be better if felted in as lines or ornamentation. I am not a weaver unfortunately.

My daily dose over the weekend has been to visit some of the silk weaving workshops here in Lyon. There are only 7 remaining Jaquard hand loom weavers, or "Canuts" left in this city, which was once the biggest producers of silk.
The looms are enormous and the fabrics they make these days are mainly for restoration work or for very high end customers such as Royalty or other heads of state. Brocades, velvets and gold wrapped silk threads are all made in these workshops
I did take a few photos, but they're not great as they were taken with my phone, so I'm attaching a link.
Since the French have decided to have one of their National strikes this week and travel is disrupted, we are having to stay an extra day and I don't mind a bit.
There is the link to the upload to the blog, it works for me. And the imbed. If you click on the blank viewer play buttons pop up. at least the do for me.
Ann,I Cannot get video to work. The message says it needs a third party attachment to work. Let me know if it on the web anywhere and I can check it out there
