Here's my first attempt at the whipped wheel, i definitely need more practise on this one but i really like the whole stitch anyway. You can see which ones i had trouble with and then i was able to neaten them up as i go by tightening up with each stitch

Those look really good Karen! I always find that tension causes me the most problem when I am first learning a stitch. You just aren't sure how tight you need to pull it.

Thanks Zed and Ruth, oh tension is the word i was looking for ruth lol zed the mauve and yellow has some very loose threads and it makes it look all wonky lol

I know what you mean, now I've tried it, Kaz, but stll can't tell on yours. I kept not getting each new layer right, or the loopy bit lying neat. I liked it, though. TAST Week 11 Whipped wheel by zedster01, on Flickr

OOO Zed that looks realy good, i love the half ones, i didnt try that yet so i'm going to add those to mine to. The one on the bottom right would make a great gate wouldnt it ?
