Thank you, Carole. It’s a nice change from felting. Different methods, different skills set.

Yesterday I was trying out dyeing on different fibres, I think I went a little wrong with the viscose - it doesn't do acid dye does it??? !!! 3rd one in from the furtherest piece I was trying to capture my poppy photo for the challenge but I didn't have the right colour dyes so I dyed anyway

Looks like you needed a bit more yellow in that red for poppies. But I do that too, just go ahead and dye even if the colors don't turn out exactly as you want.

I like the colours even if they are not what you where planning.

They do look nice colours. You need the Procion dyes (what's the proper term for those, I can't remember?) for viscose, it dyes really well.
Oh, Fibre reactive?

Yes fiber reactive, sometimes called MX dyes too.
My dose yesterday was fixing that tea cozy that didn't work. I will blog about theat my next turn. Today I made the body of a tubular project bag and started a hat and the bottom of the bag before my knees said they had had enough standing thank you.

Funny, Ann, my knees also talk to me!
My daily dose was finishing a small pouch or clutch as a birthday gift for a friend “who has everything.” Photo tomorrow, promise!

I'm still putting stuff away from makefest, and separating some left overs for the well-being felting course

Small clutch, birthday gift for a friend. Vintage button is from her now-deceased mother’s collection, which was passed on to me. My friend was surprised! Small clutch by catwycliff, on Flickr

Finally did a few hours of felting - Hubby's birthday was last week - he is always cold - so I made him a shawl. (4 layers of merino with cheesecloth in the center) By the way it was probably about 88 degrees F when I took this photo - I was melting!

What a thoughtful birthday present - just the right colours to reflect the blue in his eyes - and a wool shawl is the best for warmth.
Phew...88 degrees...a bit too warm for me!
