Elizabeth the socks look great, I tried socks once, and lost my pattern half way through!!! I got into a complete mess - three needle knitting!!! Carole, I never would have tried socks had it not been for the 'magic needle' technique. I WILL NOT fiddle with DPNs (tiny double pointed needles). I also found a source for very short cable needles which I used to use but did not last. Zed, those batts are so beautiful!!! I'd like to be a cat and roll in their lusciousness!

Great socks Elizabeth.
Zed, your batts look like the sun setting. When is the Make Fest? I have forgotten.

That makes my daily dose look kind of sad. I did do some carding of plane colours and I made headels for the little inklette loom I borrowed for the summer.

Thanks, everyone I laid out a couple more pieces yesterday, on Thursday I got time to felt a piece based on a painting of mine. I've got months of catching up to do, so I'll probably just enjoy messing about for a while. I want to do some dyeing too, for Makefest. That's in August, Ruth. I still haven't had the info pack from them though.

I am envious of all your work - I was sick for about ten days got better flew to Pennsylvania for a long weekend and a wedding and got sick again with pneumonia which I am hopefully recovering from. Good things - my tote bag, clutch bags, shawl, collars were a hit. I could stay busy making things for my family for quite awhile. I visited www.FlyingFibers.com (my first time in a shop - I have to buy mail order) and fell in love with the owners -- they want me to come back and teach felting - a bit to far! Purchased some of "Matilda and Margaret's" Cotswold roving just sheared a few weeks ago, "Lucy's" North American Wensleydale Washed Locks and some Wensleydale roving. I did not know shopping could be such a delightful experience. If only the 'girls' had been on site so I could have given them a hug or a sheep treat.

I'm glad you are on the mend. Yesterday I did some silk dying for a class I am teaching at the end of the month. I am going to blog about it tomorrow.
