Thanks Ruth. I'm really enjoying all this "drippy" dyeing.

These days I'm also dyeing With my dyeing group, this month we make exchanges (swaps) of batts and rovings For the batts ' part I'm really having fun So far I've dyed some batts, here's my favourite one : It's dyed with ideal dyes (it's like RIT but it's available in supermarkets) on tencel, BFL, banana silk, polwarth, ramia, mohair, black viscose, milk protein, glitz I love it so much, it will be hard to let it goes ! (it's the same base for the colors as the ones I used for my necklace, but on differents fibers)

My fiber today is live plant material - If you are looking for a Mother's Day Gift (is that just a US thing) not felted - check out my blog - shadyrr.wordpress.com/2015/05/05/upcycling-a-salad-mold/The one I made is a tribute to my Mom and will be exhibited in the Horticultural Division under "Dish Gardens" in my upcoming flower show. It has to have been planted for 8 weeks prior to the show.

Jill - thanks for the patterns - it is getting hot here also so I will look for some light weight cotton. It seems so much fabric is a cotton blend anymore that contains polyester or rayon which I find to be hot and does not breathe.

Great use for those old salad molds Frances. My mom used to have one in every shape. Not sure if she still has them or not.

I will pass on the green peas and orange jello That is as bad as shredded carrots in green jello as Ruth will attest to

The scarts are really nice and thoughtful, Jill Aphee, the batt is really nice, I'm learning to like pink more when I can change it. I meant to say when you joined that your necklace reminded me of a prsent I made for my mum, last year. It was a decorative 'rug' to go on top of her dressing table, but I made pink batts of multi fibres, then spun up lots of yarn to cut up to create the rug's effect feltingandfiberstudio.com/2014/07/23/present-for-my-mum/
