You reminded me Frances, I got a silk dress, and floaty synthetic top for 99p each a couple of weeks ago from a charity shop. I even cut them up ready to use. Then forgot about them!

Oh, no. It’s vegetation I found on one of my hill walks. Thank you!

Cool! Did it all felt well or was it attached with the embroidery?

The white part makes me think of a roman bust. I like it.

Very nice Is the gold around the white something like flax or hemp?

Thanks, ladies! Marilyn, it felted very well, and I have used the embroidery just for detail and highlighting. Zed, yes, it is indeed hemp! Love that fiber!

Beautiful color combination. And hemp is great fiber, isn't it? It looks really nice against the white.

Thanks Ruth & Zed. It’s surprising what a cool effect such a homely fiber can produce, in this case, on white merino.

Ah, thanks so much, Lyn and Carole. I really enjoy adding hand-embroidery. It’s slow-going but so relaxing!

I am going through my felting supplies and packing up plastic bins of what I think I might want to use in the next couple of months. We are going to our Home in Amelia Island, Florida on Thursday. We will be there until mid July except for quick trip back here in June so I can place my exhibits in and help with my Garden Club's Flower Show.
I want to make a few of gifts to take with me when I make a solo trip to Pennsylvania the first weekend in June. Scarves or clutch bags??
