Me and Zara did a swap. I got a massive box of gorgeous locks from Gotland sheep, various Gotland Crosses, Rya, lambswool, Finnul. A lot of the photos didn't come out, but here are a few, aren't they gorgeous?!

Wow! You're going to have fun with those. Can't wait to see what you do with them unless of course you are just going to stroke them lovingly every day

I still think I got the better deal in this swap - a huge bag full of exotic natural and synthetic fibres, beautiful blended batts and fabrics. :-) Suddenly I have colour and surface structure in my felting. I've been playing with my box of goodies all weekend!

Yes, this was fun! :-) I do have quite a large stash of raw (unwashed) Gotland locks - so if anyone else here is interested in a swap, let me know. As I wrote to Zed, my stash mostly consists of fleece from Swedish breeds and cotton or linnen fabrics, and mostly natural colours. So anything dyed or other wool, fibres or fabric is a really fun addition. :-)

Zara, ME!!! I'd love some locks. I have gobs of thrift store silk that I'd be happy to trade. Actually, I need to take some photos and post for you UK people who don't have good sources.

Zara, it looks as if you've started an international fiber/fabric cooperative! Enjoy all your new treasures.

Sounds like a good deal to me Elizabeth! I have sent you a message. And Jill and I have already started planning our swap too. :-)

I must say, the gorgeous, soft and colourful merino blended batts I got from Zed really do feel like quite the opposite to my regular sheep-smelling Gotland locks in "50 shades of grey"...! ;-)
