Pandagirl----just merino top at the moment but that is good to know for future pods. I'll just use LOTS of layers and see how that goes. (:
Shepherdess---YES! You send me over here from Facebook! Thank you!!! This forum is VERY helpful! (:
Jwugg ---thank you! I'll see if there is still time to register. (:

Ali, Definitely use LOTS of layers of merino. My post under 'Edvard Munch meets the Sock Monkey' shows what 4 layers of merino and extra fine alpaca (~22 micron) gave me. Also, it was made on a square resist. Some people have mentioned using cheesecloth between layers to firm things up. I haven't tried it yet.
I LOL'd when I saw your comment about the fish felting article. I got lost in it, too!
Welcome from Dallas! Join in the fun!

To make your pods/vessels really strong, you need to full, full, full! The shrinkage is enormous, but you'll end up with a nice firm piece.

Hi. I finished my first vessel based on rosy pink's instructions. So where's the best place to post newbie questions? (:

Thanks panda girl. I'm going to post a picture tomorrow when it's dry and ask my questions then.
