I’m with you on that, Lyn! Only reason I still have those felt ornaments is because i didn’t think they were good enough to gift. But useful to chart the progress, oh so useful!

That is one thing I have done with my blog is to always take photos of what I make and post them. Sometimes I go back and I don't even remember making half the stuff that I did. At the end of the year, I like to go back though each year just to take note of what I have done for the year. Otherwise I sometimes feel like I haven't done anything at all.

I've always taken photos too, and kept all my early stuff. It probably sounds vain, but I love it all, all the colour and texture experimentation etc, all those ideas you have and try before someone tries to tell you what works and what doesn't etc. Doing some of those mirror pieces inspired by Stewart Stephenson reminded me of the colours I used to use together.

I am grateful for Flickr, because I did begin posting felt photos and experiments at the beginning of this year. It’s a great way to keep track of your progress (or lack thereof!) And posting photos here is actually a very good thing, because otherwise I probably would not have photographed some of my work.
I can understand your wanting to keep your early stuff, Zed. I feel the same way. There’s a lot invested in the early trials and errors, and those are keepers in my book!
