I do not think we do anything that takes less than 3 hours unless it is something you are duplicating and have the template and color arrangement decided in advance. It usually takes me longer because I think alot about what I want the end design to be. So at $15 an hour that is $45 before I factor in supplies. That is why I probably will not try to sell anything and make a profit. I do not know anyone that is going to pay me for my time. The nuno felted scarf I just made would be priced at $75 - $85 if I just figued $10 per hour for labor.

Frances I sell my scarves $65-$100 depending on the scarf. They sell fine. I may have lower costs than you. I buy wholesale and can probably lay out simple scarves faster then you just because I have been doing it longer.
One thing to remember is you are not competing with Walmart. You would never win. You are looking to a unique, higher end market that appreciate hand made, high quality, unique items. Not everyone can buy those things, me included. I shop at second hand stores because I want high quality clothes but can only afford Walmart. It's the only way I can do it.

Thank you all very much for all the advice. I Greatly appreciate it..
Terri's posting certainly pointed out things I had never even thought about. I also really enjoy reading the article... Being this is my first attempt At trying to sell any of my art I am sure it will be an eye opening learning experience... Smile..
I priced them according to similar items I saw so we shall wait and see if I sell anything.
When I went over to the gallery there were many many people buying like crazy. I should of gotten my things over early. ( because I could not get there early my thing will not be put out to Monday... Sad face...). The Christmas Art show goes on for a month but I could clearly see the first day was the big event.
Time will tell.

I hope it all goes well for you. I almost sold my big art piece at an exhibiting. even that was exiting. The person was debating between mine and another piece. She bought the other piece. But it was still thrilling to know someone was seriously interested.
