I like this stitch - Ruth's looks like an elongated honeycomb.
Zed your close one looks really neat. Nice surface texture:)
I must make a start, but have been visiting family for a few days and now have 2 g'children visiting for a couple of days. I'll need something relaxing to do after all that!!!

Oh both of yours looks nothing like mine lol And they look good, I'll find the link i used to the other ones as they were listed as a cretan stitch, would make it a lot easier if Sharonb did her's so we could understand, isnt it suppose be used with 4 lines, i cant see that in yours or is it a trick stitch lol

Ruth, I love the pattern you have made with the stitch, and Zed, all of yours are wonderful, but I especially like the closed one - really beautiful.

Karen - if you look at mine, there are four rows but it's spread out a lot. Zed - yours look great. I haven't tried the closed one and I really like how yours looks. It would make a great filling stitch.

Thanks Judith, Pam and Ruth The aida really helped Kaz, there's really just two 'parts' to each stitch-the place where it goes in and where it comes out, and then copied on the line above. How different they look just depends on the spacing.

If you can teach it to someone else, you really learn the stitch yourself - nice tutorial Zed.
