I came across an interesting web site today. This felt artist does some amazing felt paintings. At first I did not realize they were made of felt. You might already know about her, I had not seen it before. Here is her site address, if you are interested. robinwiltse.com/

They are fantastic. Shelley, I followed your link, and am totally confused. Are the lines painted on, needle felted? I couldn't figure it out from the translation.

I think the first link is needle felted then wet felted and the second one he is gluing it down with something then wet felting it.

I don't think that these two artists use the same process. The first one just needle felts and then wet felts. The link from Shelley, he uses some sort of gluing process.

Thanks, Ruth. I kept looking at the lines, and it looked like that puffy paint stuff you buy at the craft store, but I knew it wasn't that.

Ann, it is obvious that the artist likes the cubist style of people like Picasso. I do not think she copies their work, they look like originals. I know very little about all these processes, so I put it on here to hear your explanations. It looked like the artist on the second site was gluing yarn down as a line drawing. But...I have no clue as to how that was done.

Perhaps it's the style I recognize then. She is very good. the second website he is copying clasics. He has some comparison pictures.

Here is another website that I think you might enjoy. I follow this artist from my blog. She is french, so I don't really know what she is saying without the google translator, but her pictures are fantastic; and I think most of you would know how she accomplishes such beautiful handwork. I do not do crochet and just do basic needlefelt. Take a look. aventurestextiles.blogspot.com/
