I missed the leaf and the peapod. I must take more time when checking new posts. I like both of them. I have never heard of Lutradur. The leave turned out great. I like you peapod too.

Lutradur is a man made fabric that is some type of plastic/polymer based stuff. It feels like fabric but isn't really what you would normally call fabric.

Hi to all. I can't really add any more to the info so far on here re Lutradur. I had discovered Tyvek earlier in the year and at some point seen the name Lutradur used in the same sentence so assumed it behaved in a similar manner. I bought lightweight, medium weight and heavy weight from nid-noi.com with the intention of experimenting with it. As with so many other purchases, it got put in a drawer and forgotten about. When I read the fourth quarter challenge I saw my opportunity to give it a try. I have found this tutorial on youtube this evening about using Lutradur m.youtube.com/watch?v=HMosgzvX8lc if the link doesn't work the video is called Working with Lutradur by ArtisticArtifacts. Hope this helps.

Thanks Karen! I know about drawers full of supplies untried... unfortunately Lutrdur isn't one of them.

Love the pea pod. It reminds me of a bag I made a few years ago.

This Lutrudur sounds like some stuff my Dad has a huge roll of that he's always trying to palm off on me (He either got it when he was driving lorries or skip/dumpster diving!) I'll ask him about it. I remember your bag, Judith

Zed, It sounds like that roll your dad is trying to get rid of could be worth having! There are various other spunbond fabrics that can be distressed, painted etc so whatever it is it could be worth playing with.
Judith I couldn't imagine how my pea pod could remind you of a bag you had made, til I saw it.....it's fab! A really fun design.
