Nada - A hackle would be good for me. Can't make nice long lengths of roving on my hand carders and I don't want to shell out for a drum carder. Marilyn, I'm a huge fan of innovation and your afro comb hackle is great!

Has anyone tried making roving with a diz, from a drum carder? I'm so bad at it it's not even funny :/ Any tricks would be appreciated!

I have trouble when it comes to moving the diz from one side to another - I can pull out the roving in one continuous line when I am working in a straight line right off the drum carder, but when I go to move on to the next line (that would be right next to the one I just pulled off) it breaks... I'll check out the video, Ruth, thanks.

You need to go at a slight angle so you just move over naturally. I don't think of myself as patient.

I've just ordered combs and my husband is looking forward to putting one of these together for me! Thanks for sharing the idea
