I've made a start on the Monet challenge, Merino and hand dyed silk hankies on scrim. Monet challenge by koffipot, on Flickr Monet challenge by koffipot, on Flickr Still wet. Will need some embellishing, perhaps FME, hand embroidery and perhaps some beads. If I still don't like it I can cut it up and make it into something else Monet challenge by koffipot, on Flickr

It looks great Judith. I love the colors and the subtleties of the impression. I have to start thinking about mine.

I like it Judith! Your fibre layout has given a dreamy result - fabulous colours too.

I love it Judith, you've created a wonderful effect, I liked it before the wet felting but I have to say Judith that the wet felting has added depth and definition that wasn't there in the pre wet piece, I'm wondering if - at the pre wet stage the colours are bright and popping off the piece, then when it's wet they kinda disappear, maybe needle felting and stitch will bring back those vibrant colours, I'm keen to see how you finish it off :-)

Very nice, Judith! The layout is gorgeous, that second photo is brilliant.
Hasn't someone invented a spray yet so we can instantly 'freeze' the fibres of a layout without losing any softness etc?

Such a spray would be good zed! Carole - I'll stitch and perhaps bead, but I really don't enjoy needle felting, not least because I have far too much respect for my fingers!

Your Monet is wonderful! I am almost positive that is the view from his front door, with the gardens and those brick or stone steps leading out. Now it was about 15 years ago I was in Giverney so my memory may be rusty. In any case, it's very cool!

I like it both before and after. I think some stitching and beading will make it all pop out again.

I think it's just that I don't enjoy needlefelting. Each to his own!
