Yes, indeed, Zed. But yours is much closer to the original. How large is it? What are you going to use it for?

Really nice layout Zed. I agree with Ann - just crop the photo and put it on a card

Michele I love your hat and Halay your bag is gorgeous, they are both so funky and usable.
Zed I agree with everyone else this would make a lovely pic on card, can't wait to see it finished.
I'm still scratching my head :-)

Ha, thanks everyone It's about 20 inches by 9 inches. I made it big enough to be a smallish book cover, but it's a good size to use because it's also big enough to make a small bag or coin purse depending how it's folded/cut.

It looks great zed! Look forward to seeing it felted. I saw some people just putting the laid out fibre behind glass, in a clipframe, rather than felting it. They looked quite good.

Sounds good Judith - wouldn't have to get wet and no aching-from-agitation arms!

I have often wondered if I could spray something on the layout to freeze it as it.

That's all that J. Harrison does is use laid out fiber for her artwork. www.facebook.com/pages/Jharrison-wool-images/193158667401924?fref=nfI know that she has had several pieces of glass break in transit to customers and have to re-do the entire piece. I would think that spraying it with something would be better but I'm not sure whether that would change it or not.

I think the only answer is to photograph it. Glass would flatten and I like the 3D-ness and softness of fibres when they're just laid out

It's hard to believe J. Harrison's images are just wool fibers, they look painted. I wonder if the glass was on when photographed.
