I liked the idea of making something useful too, the one image I love is the mushroom, so I thought bird feeder, armed with colours and resist I started felting, I am too embarrassed to show how it turned out!!! but I'm thinking the birds won't mind!!! :-)

I've got something in mind (inspired by the similarity between one of my holiday photos and one of his paintings) but I haven't had time to start it yet - fingers crossed for the coming week. Has anyone found a shop that sells large packets of extra time? It would seem that he, as many of us do, likes flowers for a subject - his painting is on the top and our 'Meadow' is under. (Sorry about the quality of his image but I suppose he has to reduce the quality to prevent people from making unlawful prints.)

OK, I might as well admit that I've been procrastinating on this challenge as well. Yes, I am busy, but poor excuse. Have been doing lots of experimental samples so would also like to plan something "useful" for this one!

Lyn - I actually thought of your flower pieces when I saw his work the first time. So you've got challenge piece already made. And yes, do sell us some of your time packets when you find them Carole - it's OK to show pieces that you aren't proud of - many times others can learn a lot from "mistakes". I'm sure it's fine.

No Ruth - it wouldn't be a challenge if I submitted an old piece would it? I'm using one of my holiday photos that's similar to one of his paintings and having a go at that for the challenge. (Fingers crossed I can find one of those shops that sells packets of extra time.)

Oh I'm having fun here. I'm trying to add to this thread with my challenge submissions, but I'm getting halfway through typing and it 'publishes' before I finish! I'm gonna have another go.

I've made two submissions for this challenge - it was hard to do just one - Stewart's paintings are very inspiring. My original idea was to combine 'Dos Palmeros' with my holiday photo of the Cornish palms on the side of St Michael's Mount. Attachments:
