I've looked again and the purple reminds me a lot of when I dyed nylon, it's got that 'dusty' almost dirty look to it. Here's a red and blue crimped nylon I dyed: feltingandfiberstudio.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/nylon-yarns-and-angelina1.jpg?w=700&h=The mint green looks nylony too, but the cream looks a lot like silk noil or cotton noil. Dreamtrippa, see if you can get crimped nylon fibre near you, you can dye it the same way you'd dye silk, but it will look 'matt' rather than shiny, but so does silk noil mostly anyway. It'd be a lot cheaper. Or look if any of your pillows have nylon filling and steal a bit Or look for cotton noil, that is a waste product and is usually cheap, this photo has cotton noil in brown, light grey and medium grey (left, 2nd row) www.flickr.com/photos/33138187@N06/3359917756/Here it is being used in felt: www.ipernity.com/doc/zedster01/31432573or cotton fibre (really cheap too, even Egyptian cotton) www.flickr.com/photos/zedster01/6548049245/

So Dreamtrippa, what is "darling Emma" actually selling? The photography, the fibers?

Luvswool they are selling the fibers as photography props. A friend of mine who knows I've been trying to make clouds sent it to me. Zed the crimped nylon looks awesome, exactly the texture I want for my clouds. I'm going googling right now Thanks again to everyone for your input, I really appreciate it

Dreamtrippa--Would love to know what you end up buying and maybe how expensive it is? Just curious.

she wants $55 for the blob of fibers but i don't know how much is there. Could be a great price or a terrible one.

Now that's someone who knows about marketing! Maybe we just need to stick a sleeping baby on our stuff to sell? I hope you can get the nylon, dreamtrippa

what she seems to sell on etsy is headbands for babies. There are a few knit pant and bonnet sets that look very simple.

sleeping babies are hard to rent. Screaming babies are not hard to find or rent.
