Here are some I made last year. I don't have a picture of the wool wrapped around the 5 pencils at the start.

The beads are very colorful, Ann…what would you use them for?

I strung them on necklaces and you can use them as you would any other bead. you can cut them in to smaller beads too. someone said they use skewers so they would end up with much smaller holes.

That might have been me, but thinking about it I think it would be easier to thread the beads with a larger aperture and then continue fulling them once threaded to make the hole shrink and help hold the bead in position.

When I've made felted beads before, I just made them without holes and then used a thread and needle. Then the beads are tight on the string and can be positioned where you want them and they will stay.

That would work too

I like the beads Ann!
I can see a use for both size holes - there will be times when it would be useful to be able to have a free-moving bead and other times when it would be best to have a firmly positioned one.

The felt beads in the photo look a bit large for necklaces, but maybe cut up into smaller pieces, as Ann suggested. And we could use Lyn's washers as spacers? Or maybe strung on those felt cords? Hmmm, so many possibilities. Thanks, Ann, for the tutorial and photos.

Washers as spacers is a great idea! I've used metal 'beads' as spacers and I think that metal and felt look good together.

the are large but big beads were in so I strung them on curtain cord and wrapped them around my neck a couple of times. The cord just fit so the beads stayed were you put them

Love the colours, I had a big bead problem too, some are good on necklaces then I had the idea to make a wall hanging from them, held in place by stones beads and crimps.
