How do you store your resists? I am trying to get organised. The small things like fingerless mitts go in a drawer but anything bigger won't fit. Rolling them makes it hard to tell what things are and makes them hard to use later. How do you store your hat resists and bigger ones like vests, boots and cat caves?

Mine are currently in a big plastic tub. The bigger ones still either have to be rolled or folded. I haven't found a good solution yet either. I guess if you could attach something to them so they could be hung up, that might work.

Hanging them from a cloths line is the best I've hears so far. Maybe do two rows. long things n the top one and smaller ones on the lower one. Bulldog clip would work if you thread them though the rope. The problem is wall space. I will have to do something with the coat wrack. I have my scarves in dress bags on that.

Quilters use a foam noodle to store their quilts. By that, I mean the variety you use in the swimming pool for exercise. They are quite tall. I have all my batting stored on one and it fits into the corner of a closet. I wrap quilts around them for storage so that they don't get fold creases in them. I cover the noodle with a cotton sheet. This allows air to get to the quilts. I use a nylon rope to secure two points on the roll. Small items could be wrapped by bigger pieces of cloth and kept on the noodle. It only takes up a few inches and stands upright.

That would be good for longer term storage but I want to be able to get at them and see tem easily to find the right one. someone on face book keeps them in cardboard under a table.

Fortunately, I have an additional closet. I hang them in the closet with a pants hanger. I don't have that many right now, but you can hang a bunch with the pants hanger. I hope that helps. Under bed storage is another option especially for larger resists. dry cleaner bags help keep them dust free.

that made me think of one of those multi skirt holders, that would be good. is that the same thing. It has clothespin like things on each bar.

How resourceful you are, girls! Mine are piling up slowly, they are smaller pieces at the moment, but I can already see I'll have a problem. I wish I had a felting of my own. At the moment my studio is a long counter in my kitchen and I keep wool in the nursery which is not used frequently.

If you win the lottery, an AO size map drawer unit would be lovely!
But being realistic, how about an A1 artist's portfolio case? You can pick them up secondhand.

Lyn's ideas are great I roll mine up, some of the larger notebook ones are quite big, on A1 paper, I think. But yeah, you can't see what they are, so sometimes it's easier to draw new ones. My recent ones are on that long paper you get from Amazon, so are easy to spot. I have smaller ones on boards with bulldog type clips.

I think the multi skirt holder idea is great. I used to have one of those somewhere...
