Just a little fun project to show at the high school teacher's workshop. This is all hand stitched, as students will not have access to sewing machines. I did a little wet felting on the roving for the tree, in a zip lock bag. Just enough to make it hold together. I figured the students could do this too. It is a tiny 5X5 pillow. It is all felt, embroidery thread and beads. Simple, but cute.

I resized it and put it on as an attachment. But I have a better picture that will go on the blog tomorrow.

It's a joyous composition - very fitting for the season. I love the tree.

Just wanted to tell you how my small fiber art group appreciated all the work it took to make my small Oh Christmas Tree pin cushion. I made one for each member. It took a lot of time, but they were so overwhelmed by this gift. Not everyone you give such a gift to would appreciate all the work that goes into it.

It is always nice when your handcrafted gifts are appreciated.

That was a thoughtful gift for each member - and yes, it does take a 'maker' to appreciate the work that goes into a handmade gift.
